Farm School Garden History

Farm School Garden History

Gardner Farmschool has been providing fresh produce to the local community for three years now. We started as a small group of passionate gardeners and have grown into a thriving community of like-minded individuals.

In 2024, we held community teach-ins, planted 40 fruit and nut trees with the help of students and parents, grew 1,500 pounds of fresh produce on 2 acres, and gave away dozens of eggs, fresh vegetables and fresh fruit to community families. We planted a 1/2 acre butterfly garden, created our own compost and began a small goat herd. Our clay and rock soil has been transformed. It was dry and infertile: It is now thriving, lush and green!

Three things rebuilt this soil:

  1. Permaculture Principles
  2. Water conservation
  3. The Love and Care of PEOPLE in our Community!

Join us to learn how you can grow great soil, too!
